Our material and test report

en May 05, 2021

Our product material composition: Corn starch+PBAT+PLA(Wheat flavor)

Ageloop compostable trash bags are 100% Compostable and free of lead, cadmium, BPA, and phthalates.

PBAT

PBAT is a thermoplastic degradable plastic. It is generally produced from aliphatic acid and butanediol via petrochemical or biological fermentation. It has good ductility and elongation at break, as well as good heat resistance and impact performance. Because PBAT has good film-forming properties and is easy to blow film, it is widely used in the fields of disposable packaging film and agricultural film.

In addition, PBAT also has excellent biodegradability, which is very active in the research of degradable plastics and one of the best degradable materials for market applications.

PLA

PLA is one of the most common degradable plastics. It is a polymer polymerized with lactic acid as the main raw material. The PLA production process is pollution-free, and the product can be biodegradable. After use, PLA can be composted and degraded into carbon dioxide and water at a temperature higher than 55°C or enriched with oxygen and microorganisms, realizing the material circulation in the natural world. And no impact on the environment

At present, the production of polylactic acid mainly adopts lactide ring-opening polymerization process to first dehydrate lactic acid to form oligomers, then depolymerize to form lactide, and then ring-opening polymerization to form polylactic acid.

PLA also has reliable biological safety, biodegradability, good mechanical properties, and easy processing.

Organic Waste Systems, final report compostability testing program

After a complete and systematic test, we put our products in a compostable environment to detect the degradation cycle and use organic fertilizer for plant growth experiment test

*The degradation cycle based on different composting environment may be different,100% degradation requires the correct compostable environment to maximize the value of the products you buy : Compostable plastic will not biodegrade in a landfill and Biodegradable and compostable plastics do not mix with recyclable plastics

Non-toxic and harmless degradation is crucial, because these harmful components may pass through the endless cycle of material-plant-material,Most people see the word bio and think “natural” and associate it with safe. But safe or non-toxic plastics are determined by further testing to ensure a bioplastic is free of harmful chemicals like lead, cadmium, BPA and pthalates.
