AGELOOP was established after two unpleasant fishing experiences. As someone who enjoys fishing, I was shocked to discover after capturing a small butterfish, within its belly lay a long plastic trash bag. I couldn’t believe my eyes! I couldn't believe this large piece of plastic was in the belly of such a small fish! After that experience, I carefully dissected and inspected every fish every time I cooked. I was shocked to discover soon after a greener and more disgusting silicone product in the belly of a deep-sea fish...I love the ocean, and I love nature. These two experiences really showed me the problem we have with plastic in the ocean and our need to change our relationship with the planet. I am on a mission in my lifetime to reduce a billion plastic trash bags and to reduce 10 million plastic products. Replacing them with completely biodegradable products and alternatives, for a better healthier planet.

Corn starch

Corn starch plastic is an alternative product to petroleum based plastic. It has the same characteristics, but corn plastic is made from corn starch polymers, a biodegradable and renewable resource. It looks like oil-based plastic.

Straw

Straw is the general term for the stems and leaves of mature crops. Usually refers to the remaining part of wheat, rice, corn, potatoes, rape, cotton, sugar cane, and other crops (usually coarse grains) after harvesting the seeds.

PLA/PBAT

PLA is one of the most common degradable plastics. It is a polymer polymerized with lactic acid as the main raw material. The PLA production process is pollution-free, and the product can be biodegradable. After use, PLA can be composted and degraded into carbon dioxide and water at a temperature higher than 55°C or under the action of oxygen and microorganisms. Environmental impact./ According to the source of biodegradable plastics, it can be divided into bio-based biodegradable materials and petrochemical-based biodegradable materials. Great compost bags at a great price!! These are thicker than the Costco brand I had been using and I've had no issue with tearing the bags off as some reviews mentioned. I've had no issues with leaking either. I will definitely buy again.

As far as these types of bags to, I find them to do the job. Condensation is my only issue but I understand this happens with this application, so that being said I am happy with this item and will be purchasing more in the future.

Just what a low-waste household needs!

I was sick of getting plastic bags at checkout and using that as an excuse to have bags to clean up kitty litter. These are the perfect replacement! I feel less guilty about cleaning my pets waste and don't have a need to use plastic at the grocery any more! My only complaint is that as a household of two adult cats, cleaning their box once a day, the bags are on the small side. But none-the-less they get the job done, hold a lot & hold up well. I recommend to everyone & will be repurchasing!
